Tinseltown Teachings

Us saucy sisters hit Hollywood this past week. Not only did we get Bite Me in the hands of celebs big and small, but we were also schooled, West Coast style.

Here are the Top 10 lessons we learned in LaLa Land:

10. Cast from “Modern Family” and “Glee” can silence a room with their presence.

9. LA has some great eats: Katsuya’s crispy rice with spicy tuna, Polo Lounge’s McCarthy salad, Toast’s egg and avocado breakfast sandwich, Tart’s s’more ice cream pie and bld restaurant’s ricotta, blueberry and lemon pancakes.

8. Buy stock in silicone.

7. Guys named Michael are super-funny.(Chiklis and O’Malley made us snort laugh.)

6. Sometimes having a fake microphone and a card with the title “major celebrity” (I kid you not) will get you into a gifting suite.

5. If you eat French Fries and bread like us, expect to be looked upon as the next contestant for “The Biggest Loser.”

4. Nostalgia is “in.”

3. We love funny ladies.

2. Just because someone’s super-funny on TV, don’t expect to meet that larger-than-life character in “real life.”

Lloyd from Entourage… I mean, the sweet but slightly less exuberant Rex Lee from Ohio, loving Bite Me.

1. Don’t engage Los Angelinos in the Crumbs vs. Sprinkles cupcake debate. Until we had a taste-test of our own, we had no idea why…bought and ate a dozen and ended up split – while I loved Crumbs’ oversized kitschy confectionary cupcakes (twinkie, cotton candy), Lisa landed on Team Sprinkles, where the cupcakes were moist, flavorful (pumpkin, key lime) and smaller. We’re still arguing about it.
