The Fast & The Furious

Question: Who ate 5 pounds of hamburger, 5 pounds of fries, 20 pieces of bacon and 20 pieces of cheese in 45 minutes?

Clue #1:
He’s a hugely successful competitive eater.

Clue #2:

There was a documentary made about him and his prowess at the plate.

Clue #3:

He has 8% body fat.

Yes, he’s our hero and that’s why Bite Me is sponsoring Furious Pete (aka Peter Czerwinski), the master masticator, a man with an iron jaw and a missing gag reflex.

How did this come about? I don’t get full, so, it had me thinking…have I missed my calling as a gustatory athlete? Should I spend my days hoovering hoagies and wolfing wings? Maybe, but first, I need to be schooled in the art of inhaling and the nuances of the toss-down. Enter Furious Pete. A 24-year-old competitive eater who can’t lose…just imagine the dedication, the mental fortitude and the spacious gullet it takes to annihilate 34 slices of watermelon in 3 minutes and shovel 27 jumbo pizza slices in 12 minutes.

In the months ahead, we’re going to follow Furious Pete destroy his competition. We will learn, endure rigorous challenges and fight porking out as we eat up everything we can from our very own Mister Miyage…his first piece of advice to his grasshoppers: “No fear. No pain. No puking.” Uh oh. We’re getting meat sweats just thinking about it.
